Hello there, does having a pet scan mean that you have cancer??? This my first pet scan, I had a ct scan 2 weeks ago and my oncologist said there's a small tumour growing very slowly since last year and it need a to be removed.....no one mentioned the "c" word yet. ....should I be worried

I imagine they are just checking to see if they can find what is going on, I would imagine best ring the Ovacome nurse or your gynae liason nurse and check with them. Wishing you well

The pet scan is a more detailed scan and can highlight any smaller growths that maybe there. It's just precautionary before surgery. Don't worry
