Hi lisamarie I had similar surgery 2 year's ago for a recurrence on my pelvic wall bowels were all stuck together so had them unstuck and new growth mostly removed but not all could not get get it all out as artery in the way. Bowel rebelled a bit after surgery, but settled down after a while and ok now. It took about 3 months to get back to normal, just be kind to yourself and don't rush things. Lots of love and good Luck with your surgery. Ann x

Hi lisamarie I had open surgery as it was initially for the recurrence but had severe pains on the other side and hernia had been ruled out. The surgeon agreed to investigate and discovered a lot of adhesions and spent over two hours unsticking them also had a cystoscopy and stent in uretha to protect it as it was covered by the re growth. I had an epidural put in before my anesthetic for pain relief which worked really well. Unfortunately my bowels rebelled after a few days and had to have gastro nasal tube to sort it out but don't worry that's unusual. I was in hospital 3 weeks but that was due to complications not bowel related and recovered well from the bowel surgery I had plenty of pain relief and good care. So don't worry you will be fine.hope this helps my surgeon is fantastic and he still keeps an eye on the bowel side of things as well as the remaining bit of beastie on my pelvic wall.x

Thank you for the reassurance. He said that he would rather do it laprascopy. Instead of opening me .They think I have polysystic Overy so they need to remove it x

Just a update my op is tomorrow. Getting nervous. They say I will be in for a few days and there might be a chance that I will have to have open surgery if they can't do it laprascopy x

Best of luck with the operation and it is good you have a good surgeon,
