Sunny Weather
Hi Kittie, I am glad you are able to enjoy the nice weather. I was wondering where everyone was, but it seems there was a problem with the new site, I had trouble getting in again and I am blogging for a bit but its all sorted now. Yes weather has been nice, I am off treatment for the moment but I am told will be going back on it sooner or later as lymp nodes are enlarged thought the tumour has shrunk after radiotheraphy. So in the meantime doing the best I can to enjoy life in between work. Hope you are doing ok
Hi Suzuki, I taught I had answered your blog it will always be a blog to me not post but I dont know where i sent it, so heres hoping I get it right on my 2nd attempt I taught everyone was gone away things have been so quiet for the last couple of weeks. I too am not on any treatment the moment but its only 4 months since I finished my treatment. I am back to see the consultant in 3 weeks for my 2nd follow appointment but have been back to the hospital every month for my bloods to be taken so far all good. I have written down a few questions I want to ask the consultant, I dont know if I was afraid or shocked when I was diagnosed 9 months ago but the only thing I asked was would I lose my hair Im in a better frame of mind now so am more able to ask questions and get answers now.
Hi Kittie, I think they changed the site and the blogs are not so obvious, maybe I will get on to Ovacare. I find it is good to keep in touch. Yes I agree it is good to ask questions and to get answers. And not to be brushed aside by your gynae consult. Well I asked before I left the hospital after my hysterectomy in 2006 and the Reg had to tell me. So then I looked for the onocologist who was the last person I wanted to see. So I knew before going back to the gynae what was on the cards. Yes my first question was the hair thing. Then before I started treatment sorted a hair piece and when the hair did fall out, I just went and got it all shave. That way I felt I was in charge here. Second chemo hair wasnt supposed to fall but had a stressful family situation which triggered it so had in the later stages of treatment to get a wig. Am told will have to have treatment in the next 12 months to keep it at bay. So far I have done far better than they thought thank god. I just see the onocolgist now every three months, not the surgeon and I find I have a more level playing field.
