Any recommendations re a vibe plate. They are expensive! I’ve been told get one at min 30hz. I use the brand Vibe Plate at my Osteostrong. Seems a lot of people like PowerPlate. Please post any info you have. Def seems to help!

Check out Merodyne Liv plate, it is expensive but has been backed up by scientific studies in the US and also has been approved by health bodies in Europe as part of approach to osteoporosis. Also comes with specific instructions on how to use it and how not to use it.

There are several you tube videos

Check out Marget Martin on you tube. She has a comprehensive video with hands on advise ; read the comments, some people have gained good density and quality.

Having read lots about, it seems it is more about the right frequency and the combination of different oscillatory movements that makes this plate more valuable for bone density.

In UK has been marketed at around £3300 which is an extortionate price. I am thinking to buy the bullet, but it is a big investment.

There are many other much cheaper plates aroubd but they have not been scrutinised by the science behind it and scientific studies on actual people.

Also look into Margaret Martin video and Dr Doug recent video about studies on Heal Drops. Apparently it helps Femoral neck density..50 drops x session x 2 to 5 times a day, I believe ..easy and free if done correctly.

Lizzy, I have "heard" that 30hz is the sweet spot for vibration. The problem I have is that there is only one company that promotes that 'science' and they do a good job marketing. I know the PowerPlate can be harmful to health and certainly not an option. There are many options out there but most do not achieve 30hz, and this is a good conversation. I would feel a lot more confident in spending that sum of money if independent studies and reports confirmed the Merodyne Liv plate claims. My guess is that if our osteoporosis is so severe as to limit the strength training and activity, then something may be better than nothing, but I would love for someone to convince me other than the company selling it. Can someone here provide that so we have confidence? Alternatively, a company is coming out with a vibration belt (similar used with nasa) it has cleared fda approval but not yet available. Osteoboost is the brand name. More to consider.

Hi I have read that Merodyne Liv is used by NASA for astronauts returning from space as they lose considerable bone density due to lack of gravity.

I keep reading that Marodyne and the vibrating belt use NASA inspired technology. It doesn't seem clear from what I read that NASA uses the products marketed to the public.

I don't have one yet, but I have been looking at the LifePro Rumblex. I'll be interested to see what other responses you get. I'm newly diagnosed and not ready to take any meds.

30 hz is good but make sure it is also LOW amplitude with vertical motion. Marodyne fits these specs. Marodyne doesnt work but it IS safe…..Power Plate etc are good for athletes but could be harmful for certain conditions.

please look for VIBMOR study just completed in Australia to test efficacy of Marodyne. They found it is NOT effective. As for claims re NASA, they are misleading. NASA never used Marodyne and funding was eventually pulled in 2008, i think. Yet ads still imply some connection. There are a couple of much less expensive plates that meet the same specs on Amazon. Jury is still out on bone building, but i d prefer to make a 300$ mistake than a 3000$ one! Mayo Clinic Connect has long threads about Marodyne and the study I mentioned.

Thank you! I had purchased a LifePro Waver only afterwards to find that it is well below 30hz.My guess is that there is more marketing hype than proof. Every company is in business to make money. Every medical 'solution' preys on those who are seeking corrective solutions. From all I have been reading, the right supplements, nutrition, exercise and tests can help us have better bone health. I am pursuing that avenue with gusto.

I did a ton of research and bought this VT007. Take a look and then do research on it. Does everything we wanted. Very solid piece of equipment. We're very happy with it. amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08L1NPC...
