Has anyone with seafood/shellfish allergies successfully found a plant-based calcium supplement made from algae that you can safely take? And, if so, could you please share the supplement brand. I'm in the US. Thank you.

Hi, blueocean67, your basic generic calcium supplements are made typically either from rocks or in a lab. You wouldn't need to worry about allergies with these products. There isn't a lot of convincing research that calcium from a certain source is superior to another source.

Make sure you are getting enough vitamin D to help your body absorb the extra calcium you are taking!
