Has anyone participated in Dr. Susan Brown's "Better Bone" weekend retreat? It was live for many years, but during the pandemic she has offered virtual classes. One will begin in June, and I'm considering taking it, but it is rather expensive, so I'm wondering if someone can say whether she/he thought it was worthwhile for the cost. Anyone who is not familiar with her, she has much free information on YouTube also. Thank you.

Has Anyone Taken the Better Bones Retreat?
Following responses.
I have not taken it, but I have visited Dr. Brown’s BetterBones.com website and think the course would probably be worthwhile, but it is costly, and my next osteoporosis expenditure, if anything, will either be the Marodyne LiV platform or joining the Osteostrong.me program.
I’ve basically created a hodgepodge treatment program for myself.
Before discovering on this website that DEXAs can be wrong for smaller ppl—I’m 4’11”—I followed my endocrinologist’s advice and went on osteo-meds. I had my 1st zoledronic acid infusion in November 2021.
A few weeks after the infusion, I joined this website and was informed by a healthunlocked user that DEXAs for smaller ppl can be wrong, I started digging and am currently of the belief that my endo should not have prescribed zoledronic acid for me and I’m not planning on getting another infusion.
I’m making sure to get all the vitamins/minerals that I need and I’m gluten free. I try to get most of my calcium from my diet, but I still take some calcium supplements. I’ve joined a gym and although I haven’t fully adopted her program, I’m using Cindi’s Story, from BetterBones.com, as a guide. I haven’t added in deadlifts yet and I probably won’t until later this year—I don’t want to add in the heavier weights until 1 yr after having had the zoledronic acid infusion—but I am doing the farmers carry (currently 12 lbs in each hand) 3 days a week.
I think Dr. Brown emphasizes an alkaline diet and that is one thing I’m not doing.
