I am wondering what follow up is recommended by others after a two year course of Tymlos. I ask because I understand the Tymlos reinforces the bony matrix and I thought that continuing supplements would be sufficient after the Tymlos but now I have been told that I should take take Prolia or bisphosphonates to stay on top of the osteoporosis. Thank you for your responses.

After Tymlos for two years, best follow up for osteoporosis?
I just started Tymlos, but I know I was told by my endocrinologist that I would have to follow up with Reclast , which is zoledronic acid. I understand that it works by slowing the breakdown of bone, similar to Fosamax and Prolia.
I don't know much else at this point, but if I learn anything, I will share. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Tymlos is listed under Parathyroid Hormone Analogs. Taking an antiresorptive medicines (bisphosphonates or denosumab/Prolia) is typically recommended after the two years.
We highly recommend seeing a specialist who really knows the ins and outs of osteoporosis treatment. It is a complicated disease to treat.
Good luck!
