Yes. It may or may not be the primary cause, but anxiety and stress definitely can contribute to reflux.

I have never had reflux or heartburn in my life, then about 2 weeks ago I had it chronic (I didn’t even know what that feeling was). I was under immense stress and anxiety. They have given me Lansoprazole for a month to see if it settles … I hope it does , as I can’t stand this mucus lump in my throat that only ever seems to appear about 6ish and goes away over night. The lansoprazole has definitely helped with the reflux though.
