I went on Lansoprazole for eight weeks for what I believe is silent reflux,I have a small hernia I was told some time ago , occasionally over a period of time I have had flare ups . Recently I felt discomfort around that area and went on ppi's as I didn't want it to get worse. While being on Lansoprazole it helped settled things abit but not totally. I feel in the daytime everything seems ok but later in the day after eating I get all the throat issues etc. I was told to come off Lansoprazole suddenly for two weeks so they can test for hypolri and use gaviscon. The gaviscon seemed to help but now I have been told to stop it and wait the two weeks when I can see my doctor. I was abit reluctant not to use anything but so far it seems ok but I know that with silent reflux you can never be sure if it's totally clear. I know that I have to wait for the hy polri result but not sure where I go from there . I am trying to eat the right things diet wise to help
