Problems with PRO-CAL SHOT Energy drink.

As anyone out there been given this high energy drink for weight lost with gastritis and aid reflux, I have lost 2. Stone with gastritis but this drink is the only thing keeping weight on me, but I think it irritating my stomach. Really worried if I stop it not eating much. Doctor prescribed it.

Hello, sorry for the slow reply, I realise you posted this question a while ago but I've only just seen it. Yes, I have been prescribed this ONS amongst others for weight lost due to severe reflux / gasritis / hyperacidity. I can understand why the Dietitians choose it, low volume and high calorie, but it gets those calories mostly from fat (100ml has roughly 28g fat, 13g carbs, 6g protein). Sure it works great for some but not a good choice with acid reflux etc. There are loads of others available to prescribe, none of them are great but they're better than this one. Hopefully your doctor has given you a different one to try now.
