does any one have any advice on constant belching. it started after a heavy drinking session on white rum. i had mild acid reflux before that. i'm wondering if i have disrupted my gut flora or if it's something else

Any alcohol will make Acid reflux worse. As you already suffered with some reflux before the drinking session it has obviously made it worse. You will know the answer to your problem without anyone's advice.

it's more the continual burping i'm concerned about, it's cause and the reason for it and the solution to it

Hi - constant burping is one of many symptom associated with gastritis. So is reflux. So it sounds to me that the alcohol has exacerbated your pre-existing condition . Taking something to help gut flora won’t go wrong but sounds to me like you need something like Gaviscon and if that doesn’t work, to see your GP for the next medicinal step up, which would be a PPI (eg omeprazole or similar).
