I have been reading about this device and just wondered if anyone on here has tried it and had any success with it. There are so many reviews on their website, but you just don't know what to believe and it does seem rather expensive.
Iqoro device: I have been reading about... - Acid Reflux Support
Iqoro device

I have been using the iqoro for nearly a year , I have been using it as instructed for that time I am on 20mg Omeprazole once a day, I can say that it has almost cured my snoring but I still feel that I have symptoms if I eat the wrong thing . I would say that my symptoms have got better since the start but feel that I still need to watch certain foods . I plan to carry on using it to see if in time I can eat what I want and come off the ppis.
This did nothing for my reflux. I got better results with zemaflux and have now stopped taking omeprazole.
Yes I have been using one regularly for about 8 months and believe it's generally helped strengthen my hiatus hernia. I have noticed my voice has got stronger and along with diet and Gaviscon advanced have found I can manage the reflux better The support is very good and it can take a while to get the hang of it.
Yes I feel the hernia seems strengthened,I suffer with throat symptoms more than heartburn but I know if I eat drink certain things it will cause me symptoms,I hope in time it will make me symptom free,I have had a hernia for abt twenty years so I guess it will take time
What throat symptoms do you suffer from ?

Excess mucus/saliva sometimes stinging feel ,need to clear throat,
I think diet and lifestyle is key. I have stopped using any PPIs since using IQOro and although have had a lot of stress and dips , I managed without going back, have maintained Taking Gaviscon advanced though
I have been searching Google for some genuine positive feedback on Zemaflux, but can't find anything of any note, so will forget that one.
I've been using Iquoro for a bit over a year. It hasn't convinced me to go off the PPIs, but I have noticed some positive shift in my symptoms. However, at present I don't feel as if I should stop the PPIs as well as other backup medications (Gaviscon, Sucralfat, et. al.) I once tried a cold stop, but there was a rebound and since then my symptoms worsened considerably. So, I've become quite cautious about relinquishing the PPIs until I have virtually no symptoms while using Iqoro. I'm not there yet.
Anyway, I do think it is worth the try. In the UK you should be able to have it prescribed and get it covered by your insurance. I live in Switzerland and here nobody has heard of the device. I paid for it out of my own pocket and I don't regret it. I've been on PPIs for 20 years so I don't expect quick results, even after a year.
As far as the other medical device mentioned in this thread is concerned, Zemaflux appears to work according to a different principal, i. by using breath control. But, the end effect seems about the same: strengthening the oesophagus. I will probably check that out also.
Thank you for your reply. No chance of getting it prescribed from my local GP surgery, they are continually trying to cut costs on medications and prescribing the cheapest possible options.
You might want to explain to whoever that the costs in the long would be less than the usual medications. Iquoro is a one-time investment. Personally, what I don't understand is, if you are able to get a prescription coved by your medical insurance, why should a doctor have anything against that? The fact that it is covered is an attest to the effectiveness of Iquoro. Are these doctors foremost political lobbyists or are they medical professionals with a conscience. Don't get deterred. Find a doctor who is not so narrow-minded.
