Recently diagnosed with acid reflux and gone on a diet of no alcohol or coffee (my two most significant triggers). However, it still feels as if my chest is very tight around 5-10% of the time, and anxiety regarding the cause of this pain makes it worse. I can also have trouble breathing and some sharp pains in my chest but it is mainly just a feeling of tightness and dread that is really worrying me.
I'm 17 and a normal weight so I wouldn't have thought it could be a heart problem?
Do you think it is possible there is an underlying problem and quite unproblematic acid reflux isn't causing such lengthy chest tightness?

I have the head of my bed raised by at least eight. Inches.not by pillows as this could hurt your neck, but by padding under the mattressI avoid all acidic foods and fruit. No spicey foods.
