I'm a first time mum to my boy who turns 4 months tomorrow. He has always been a big baby (long!) And appears to be hungry a lot. He's taking 6-7oz every 4 hours. He's able to hold himself well in a Highchair and always had amazing head support.
Question is, when do I start introducing puree and baby porridge? He's very aware of when everyone is eating next to him. I know they say 6 months, but that seems like ages away for him.
What did everyone else do/their opinion?
Thank you!

I had two very similar boys both who weaned at 4 months. I was encouraged by a doctor to wean early, for one of my boys, as he was showing all the signs of being ready and was needing that extra nutrition.
Purées, baby porridge and soft finger foods is where we started too. Look for the signs that show he’s interested and ready for food then go for it.
We started with just a couple of dessert spoons of something, as a meal, once a day, for a couple of days. So that their system slowly got used to the food.
We introduced one food item every three days and slowly built up a list of things they ate. This helped little one get used to textures and tastes better (rather than overwhelming them) and gives time for allergic reactions to new food items to appear and for you to identify them easier. Then as they ate more we increased meal times and amount.
Hope this helps and you enjoy your weaning journey.
Hi, i had long hungry babies too! How did you get on with all this? Did you find any information that really helped you with your next steps to weaning? 😊
