I totally understand you, I go through similar, the reason for hitting out could be because he cannot regulate his moods like what we can. Having a box of sensory toys and fidget toys and also a space that is sensory could also help him to bec able to go to it. The box of toys only should be given when he is having an anger episode. Sometimes taking a step back and you may think he is lashing out but all he is trying to do is trying to understand his own emotions. I have 2 daughters both with high sen needs and I have had to also learn this. It will get better. Stay strong. X
Hi
How are things going? Have you heard anything about the ASD waiting list? I'm a health visitor and work in Just One Number and there are clinicians here who can offer support if you need it, if you're still waiting for support. If we're not the service you need, we might be able to signpost you to others, that'll be more useful. Hope things are improving. It sounds like you're doing a great job. You can call or text in depending what's easier for you. Text 07520 631590 Call 0300 300 0123There's this too: justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/child...
Are you both getting support from school?
