I have been suffering from an intrusive thought for over a week now. I know that I show signs of depression as I have all the signs of depression. The thought lingers for the whole day, making it hard for me to have long conversations because for some reason I think I will blurt my intrusive thought out loud.. Does this sound like depression or could it be worse?

Depression and intrusive thoughtS

Some people are affected by OCD that makes them afraid of saying something out loud they want to keep to themselves, or writing something down they don't mean to. Some actually are afraid of confessing to crimes they didn't actually do.
Get some sort of professional help. Depression does often accompany OCD, and having OCD in itself can make you feel depressed.
Try not to let it affect your ability to talk. The feeling you might blurt something out is just a feeling and not likely actually to happen.
Having depression makes doing anything a struggle, but CBT can help it, as well as OCD.
