Has anyone been on Mirtazapine for HOCD...

....and did it help with the intrusive/obsessive thoughts. I've been prescribed it and am a little concerned with it not being an SSRI which are mainly used for treating OCD.

I haven't taken it myself, but I do know that it is used for OCD, particularly in cases where SSRIs don't suit a particular patient. It's always difficult to know in advance how a particular patient will react to a particular medication. So it may suit some people. It does sound as though you haven't responded well to this one, so perhaps try another. It's a pity you had such side effects on the SSRI, but another SSRI may be all right.

Actually it's just started working a little so fingers crossed it works out.
