Hi mate,it’s very common to become depressed with ocd, some meds for ocd will help with depression and some won’t, it’s about finding the right one for you.
Hi, thank u so much for your reply, I hav3 suicdal thoughts that's we t to depression a can't think happy thoughts I just feel really sad and upsett some one says that people do act on suicdal thoughts with ocd so it has made me so much worse! I don't no what to do anymore a just can't see it getting any better ☹
You gotta get to a doctor and discuss your options be it meds or otherwise. You can deffo get out of it,you can msg me if you’re struggling
I will be seeing my doctor tomorrow afternoon so fingers crossed something can be done about it, a was getting better then I just hit rock bottom again, the feeling is horrible I have had a few different meds, i will have to try new one and give them time to kick in! Thank u so much for your support means the world to me.
You’ve got this! I was without symptoms for nearly 10 years until recently so I know you can recover and I will too. Hit me up anytime if you feel the need to 💪🏻
I am trying to believe in my self. I exercise 7 days a week for an hour are so! It was helping so much. I don't want to die or take my own life. It's the ocd making me feel that I do it's a horrible big bully! & I know people with ocd don't act on there thoughts, but when someone said people do it really worried me so much.
That's really rotten, as you were doing really well by the sounds of it. But depression often does go with OCD, partly because I suppose you can't do all you want to do.
Try not to wallow or think yourself a failure. It can feel like you're enveloped in a thick grey cloud but it can get better.
There are a couple of helpful books: Mind over Mood by Dennis Greenberger and Christine A Padesky and Overcoming Depression by Paul Gilbert.
Here's to feeling better soon!

Exercise is a great antidote to depression so keep on at it! Remember that OCD fluctuates greatly, and you can feel all right one week and be crippled by it the next. Try to do some enjoyable things, and don't beat yourself up.
I've been there and I feel your pain. You're doing the right thing. In my case everything started with health anxiety plus real serious ilness but meds and daily sports plus ACT and mindfulness helped me a lot. Also try to stick to some kind of motivation. It can be family, a person, a hobby, a value,a job a pet... what/whoever help you to keep going. That will be your lifesaver.💪
Oh that's awful. The same happened to me a while back. Are you still on meds? The worst is thinking you will act on it which also triggers dreadful anxiety. I used to dread being by myself. Meds definately help but takes ages.Have a word with your doctor, perhaps you would benefit therapy also. X
Hi,
I can understand your your problem.I want just tell about one thing that you are not along.Millions of people suffring from OCD.To recove from any type of OCD(sextual,pocd,hocd,harm-ocd,p-ocd few more) you need to change your mindset first and think you will be recover from it.You are lucky that you have ocd not others mental illness.Do some activity first (What I do regularly) like.......
1.Get up early morning and do some physical activity(running, yoga or sepnt time on gym etc)...
2.Read books what you love most and keep away from social networking website
3.set up your goal(focus on your goal)
4.know about OCD more ( from books and website) becuse you need to more know about your problem first
5.Meet more people everyday and avoid bad company .
6.Don't think too much about your intrusive thought.Just observed your thought not pushing your thought from you.
7.train your brain that you are not your thought..
8.Most importantly listen and watch OCD advocates videos and recover story fron youtube channel........
****)You need to know intrusive or unpleasure thoughts are not the pboblem because everyone has thoughts but problem reaction and avoid after getting the thought.Try to not avoid your sitution after getting thoughts.best of luck for your new life.
I think you will recover from it very soon and we are all with you.
