Coping from one day to the next involves fighting the OCD constantly! It is important not to let it win more than you can help, though of course we all give in to it to some extent. Has she had CBT? It teaches you how to fight it. It helps me to think of the panic like a wave that eventually breaks and subsides, or clouds that eventually move on.
Hi sally I'm going though cbt at the moment some days I find it hard like today i feel horrid.
There are some days you struggle more than others. And CBT is never easy, though it does work. I know how hard it can be to concentrate when you feel like that, so distracting yourself isn't always an easy option. If possible, do something useful that doesn't take too much concentration, like cleaning, or just relax with a favourite book or film. But don't feel bad if you can't do those things. OCD occasionally gets you at a really low ebb and it can be hard! Just put it down to experience, and hope you feel better tomorrow.
What's your OCD fear
