Good morning and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to that you are in pain, is it all the time, lying down, moving or remaining in one position for a while? I used to find that lying down and/or remain in one position often used to bring me pain and getting up, changing postion used to help. The only medication that worked for me was Co-Codamol (30/500) and Naproxen.

Agree with Bcol, my most comfortable position is flat on my back with my knees bent - preferably on something soft - I like to lie on my foam Pilates mat. Pilates helps a lot, I’ve got a very good experienced teacher. I’ve found over the years that keeping moving gently helps me most

Same painkillers as Bcol too too Co- Codamol has worked for me and I recently fell backwards and landed on my tailbone on top of already painful hips - agony doesn’t even start to describe it. I was prescribed physiotherapy and given Tramadol three times a day for five days - the tramadol worked amazingly well. I couldn’t believe it.

I also use Nordic walking poles when I walk and that takes a lot of pressure off my hips and lower back. I started that with a six week group training course and just walk with my husband now I know how to do it.

Does this work for deep pain, or just surface pain? Thanks

Hi, I have psoriatic arthritis that attacks my bones and tendons so I would definitely say it goes deep and they also make one for backs (I have not used this).

It’s definitely worth a one time purchase and I was skeptical but in the end its a great product.
