I've got a few nodules on my finger joints.

I've got a few nodules on my finger joints which I keep knocking & so they are getting sore & look as though they may ulcerate. Does anyone have any ideas how to protect them? I don't really want to resort to covering them with plasters.

Ask if you can be referred to OT, as they will be able to provide things to help. Or maybe try something like Imak arthritis gloves? Polly

Are they squishy RA ones or hard shiny pink OA ones do you know? I ask because I've got 2 new OA ones at same time as RA is kicking off more but I know the difference now and recognise different types of pain. I keep bashing one on my forefinger (finger nail top joint) and it is presently a bit infected and today have one forming on my thumb joint and its really red and sore and swollen so would be useful to know how not to knock it too! Sorry no help. I did wear a thumb splint yesterday but that seems to have made it worse today. Tilda x
