Just wondered if anyone suffers from clicking finger joints, mine started a couple of weeks ago and it can be a little sore. My fingers a feet are giving me a lot of discomfort at the mo and I am feeling tired most of the time.
Was told I was in remission but it doesn't seem like it to me.
Any thoughts?

Not sure at all Mary - I'm pretty clicky everywhere these days but have noticed my thumbs are especially clicky now having never been as badly affected as other fingers before and they snap loudly if I wriggle them. Just assumed it was getting older and stiffer but maybe it is to do with the RA and joint inflammation? Or could it be that when the RA has finished working on a joint and moves on or away we are left with clicky joints as one of the after effects? Will read the replies you get with interest. TTx
Thanks Tilda, glad I'm not the only clicky person!
They never clicked before so like you I can only assume its the blessed RA.
I had a lot of clicking joints and asked physio if I needed to worry. She said everyones joints click to some degree and not to worry. Since taking 25mg MTX and Humira, joints have all stopped their clicking. I do think it is connected to the RA, but don't think it is a serious sign/problem. Hope to see others experiences.
I had 'trigger fingers' for years, that would 'catch' and not open until I manipulated them open. I used to have them shot with cortisone to lessen the swelling & ease the pain. I've had a lot of surgeries on my hands since then and it hasn't happened since.
My shoulders & knees & neck & right foot toes snap & crack a lot too. I'm just glad they're still moving enough-to crack.
Hello, I see that this is a pretty old post, but just wondering if anyone found a solution to the clicky fingers? Some of my fingers were starting to deform, and I was advised to wear finger splints. It has been about 3 months since I started wearing these splints. My fingers wouldn't click and lock as much before that. But now they seem to lock in a straightened position, and I have to unlock the joint with my other hand to make it bend again. It scares me because I wonder if some day I just won't be able to unlock the finger and it will be stuck like that forever! Any advice on how to reduce the clicking and locking?
