Me also, sorry no idea why, I had an MRI scan about 3 weeks ago, just found neck problems R.A no trapped nerves, The pain is a very sensitive type normaly on the crown off my head, so painful even to touch, lay on my head,it would be great to know what it is!

thats really strange! is it like when you have had your hair tied up and once it's down it can hurt?

is it like that all the time? and does it hurt to shampoo your hair?

i dont shampoo, when i have this pain and as you say its as though your hair has been pulled from the roots, as if its been in a tight elastic band and then left bruised. i find it very difficult to explain also, i have even mentioned to the orthodontist as i have T.M.J, its not connected to this.

Yes, this happens to me sometimes. I have no idea why.

i wonder if it's linked to inflammation, there is a tiny muscle called the arrector pili attached to each of our hair follicles, this what contracts when we are cold or scared to make hair stand on end, I noticed when hair is tied up or lying in a direction it doesn't normally then it becomes painful and I think (only think) it's like a muscle strain.....

also, MXT being toxic, there may be a reaction with the products we use on our hair. hmmmm still no answer, I'll ask around at work, see if anyone knows :)

I am on M.T.X so maybe? i do think that theres inflammation, but due to hair it cant be seen, i am also losing quite a lot of hair? ....

Haven't had this but I think this is more Williby's area of expertese. However I used to get a lot of eczema in my scalp and it would make my whole head feel sore, sometimes painful even if I touched my hair quite lightly so I think maybe our nerves are extra sensitive on our scalp?

yes it happens to me sometimes... But when it happens It is due to lack of proper sleep.. That is the major reason.

Oh my gosh I really thought i was going bonkers thinking that the end of my hair hurts, even to pull it alittle, the wind blowing the hair, or plain brushing it or shampooing hurts, what the heck could this be, it seems like its just at the very end of the tips of your hair where it meets your scalp. Please could someone shine some light on this situation as to what the heck it could be.

Hi there

Is your scalp still sensitive

Did you find out what was bothering you

The reason I ask is your problem is similar to mine and I don't know what to do

Thanks

Khushi

I have gotten this before when I was down with the flu. I would touch the top of my hair and it would hurt. Not getting sick all that often however. I don't experience this all the time. That being said, for the last 5 days I have had this issue. It seems to be lessen each day.
