Hi,

I have heard of it, and I was talking to a girl who was on Simponi and seemed pleased.

I have no more information, other than it is the most modern in advance of the the Jak? treatments that are coming.

The best source of info is your Consultant or Rheumy Team.

Gina.

Hi

I was on a trial of the drug fo a year, started Sept 2010 Finished August this year. At first it made a big improvement, felt good ,less tired, then it seemed to plateau for the rest of the trial, just didn't seem to be doing anything.Since the trial has finished though i got a lot worse ,so even though i felt it wasn't working it was obviously doing something. We are all different what doesn't work for one will for someone else, hopefully it will for you, i think you will improve its just a case of how much. I start another Anti TNF soon, i hear good things about the drug, but as i say we're all different.Good Luck

Best wishes

Mark

Hi

I started golimumab last week. I am the only person my rheumatology department has on it so don't really know what to expect. I was on enbrel for a year which worked brilliantly but had to stop it in September, tried Humira but I was allergic to it.

I have no idea if the golimumab is making any difference yet as I'm on a really high dose of steroids at the moment as my RA has been flaring badly for a few months and I developed rheumatoid vasculitis as well. It would be good to hear how you get on with it.

Good luck

Mary

Hi paulapan

We have an article on golimumab which may be of interest:

nras.org.uk/about_rheumatoi...

You can also read about this drug on the Arthritis Research UK site:

arthritisresearchuk.org/art...

Though this is one of the newest RA medications it is from the family of anti-TNF drugs, which have been around for a little while now.

I hope this helps
