Gone are the days

Of worry and strain

Why do we worry

Why do we fuss

Money

I hear you say

In days of old

When neighbours were neighbours

Friends and family lived local

You could knock on the door

And borrow an egg

Or a cup of sugar

To get you through the week

But now it's 4 wheel drives

Exotic holidays

Snotty kids

Computers,telephones and fast cars....

Neighbours.... die unnoticed

Curtains twitch....

We never new..... she was lonely

We thought she was......
