September Madness!

Hi All

Wow! September has been busy on a business and personal level! On the business side of things, the NRAS office has been manic! We had a huge clearout and shuffle around which was tiring but working out for the best. Ailsa missed all this (lucky thing!) as she went on holiday! So envious! Fundraising have been busy promoting Ailsa’s Great North Run which she completed just this weekend gone and along with her team of pushers done it in a fantastic 3 hours and raised just over £3500!!! It’s not too late to sponsor the team so please visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/te....

In publications, it’s been a busy month and many apologies if you haven’t yet received your requests; we’re working through them as quickly as we can.

Some of you may have read in my previous blogs that the Mayor of Windsor & Maidenhead, Cllr Asghar Majeed and The Mayoress Naheed Majeed launched a charity initative getting restaurants and charities to work together. Well I am pleased to announce that last week, I paid a visit to a local award winning restaurant, Asian Fusion whom we have now forged a partnership with! I look forward to working with them and bringing in much needed funds and will be organising a launch event to celebrate our partnership.

Now to a personal level, I’ve been away from the office for 7 days for a very exciting reason- my brother got married! All the planning from the beginning of the year came to the fore on Monday 12th September. It was a week long celebration (woo!) but the entire week was an absolute fantastic (& tiring!) occasion and all the shopping trips/days off/running around finally paid off. It was a memorable week and I wish the new couple all the best.

I can’t believe we’re already selling Christmas cards and already buying presents! If you haven't already brought your Christmas cards & presents, please visit the NRAS ebay shop; stores.ebay.co.uk/NRAS-Char...

However you celebrate Christmas, I hope you all have a lovely one!

Best Wishes
