Had my steroid jab...MTX day was yesterday..felt reasonably okay. Today feel like I have jet lag..legs are heavy and brain is saying 'lets do this/that' but the body is not listening. Grrr.
Trying to keep positive but finding it hard. Does anyone else feel like this??
Take care x

I'm so sorry for you, it's horrible feeling. I'm feeling much the same today, yesterday I took my mtx and also had a steroid injection into my shoulder and feel rotten today.
As you say, on the inside I really want to get up and about, get things done, sort things out... but nothing doing!
The positive comes from the fact that I've had treatment which will help my joints to be healthier than they would have been, and today it's working with the steroids by resting my shoulder and doing stuff I don't often get time for like enjoying the paralympics.
That might not do it for you, but I hope you feel much better soon. I've been here many times before and am only just getting to the point of finding positives in situations I am really fed up about!
Thank you Sailaway....it is dreadful. I recently got a 'pace yourself' leaflet from my OT she said to treat my energy like a moblie phone battery..which I thought was a good way of thinking. But looks like I forgot to put my battery on charge at all..completely dead. I have gone from being a busy lady and puppy walking for Guide Dogs to somebody who does things and has to sit down..so frustrating. I have got homework to do for Open Uni..so will do that today..as long as I don't keep nodding off ..take care. x
It's shocking how life changes with RA. The battery analogy is very good, and today you add on to that empty battery the onslaught of strong medication. Take care of yourself today, if your steroid injection was into a joint you really need to rest that joint for a day or two to get the best effect.
And why not nod off when you feel like it? It'll help fill you battery up!
I get the jab in to my bum - this is my 4th until my MTX and Hydroxy kick in. The first two jabs were like wonder drugs and I felt not too bad but the last two have felt weaker.
Don't worry I will be having a 40mins later. You take care too. x
I find that day-after-MTX day is usually my worst, as tired, foggy and ssometimes slightly nauseous. So take it easy, watch the paralympics and start again tomorrow... Pollyx
