If my bloods are static why am I still experiencing pain?
Hi,
My bloods are normal now & I think the pain is from damage done, no further inflammation since mine were normal, still tired by times and pain in joints if I overdo it but Soooooo much better, do you not feel that?
My bloods are normal and I was still getting pain. I did some blogging about this earlier. Theory behind it all.
I am a lot better now. I do not take painkillers all day like I used to. I think I have worked off the pain by gentle exercise, relaxing, pacing, and generally looking after the joints.
What sort of pains trouble you most. Joint pain? Sharp shooting pains? Muscle pain? Aches?
It is so subjective.

I have this a lot, and fluctuation of my joints playing up even though my bloods are normal. Apparently, a lot of folk have it. I had my last review 9 August & asked about this, but was told, "we don't know why this happens, but we accept that it does." That was good enough for me, as when I see my GP for analgesia, I would like her to think that that I'm not blagging. We're all very experienced in this, as we live with it on a daily basis, but our joints often tell porky pies, I think, by not being warm when staff have a feel. Also, I feel convinced that there's damage, but recieved my review letter copied to GP said they suspected my difficulty in walking was purely mechanical. I'm thinking that my RA caused my arches to collapse, and my toes look like bananas. Time will tell! I agree with you, Gina, about medication making us feel a lot better, but it's not a complete cure all x
my toes look like. sausages. or bananas?! v strange looking.. I cant bend them on either foot. I have been having hydro.. I can now get a small flicker of movement.. ,since disease I had also been walking toe/ heel rather than heel toe, they have given my lots of exercises for hands., feet and ankles to try and regain lost use and also relearn walking.. walking like a duck was one term used!
Try asking about Fibromyalgia, I've just been diagnosed with it. It is worth exploying this option. I've seen members on this site who suffer with it, but i never thought that it was what i had. Look it up on the internet and see if it applies to you.
best of luck, Sylvia
Hi, try to be positive as if your bloods are ok it means less joint damage going on which is what we should be all hoping for but as there is no actual cure some pain will continue as we struggle on. Some may be lack of use to joints when we are made to stop using them due to stiffness / swellings. Hydrotherapy is good along with gentle exercises that a physio or occupational therapist may be able to help you with. take care, x
