Hi Alison

Creatinine levels are acceptable when in the range of 60-120. It is mainly flitered out of the blood by the kidneys so if the filtering mechanism of the kidney is deficient, creatinine blood levels rise and indicate possible kidney problems. I understand that this is rare in injected gold and more common in oral gold (not sure that this is still used for RA).

I don't think, from my experience, that there's anything to be concerned about with your results at the moment; it will possibly level out once the Myocrisin is on a more even keel. You are still within the accepted range, but worth keeping an eye on it and checking with your GP if it continue up to the maximum; although they will probably have it flagged up for attention should this happen. On low dose methotrexate my levels are between 81-100.

Hope that helps,

Lyn :)

thank you lyn-w
