Be honest folks...does it hurt????

Hardly at all in the stomach! It stings a bit but nothing compared to our RA pain. It gets easier. Have you got injection or pen?
the most painful injection statistically is vit b12. followed by gold injection!!
I've been doing them for 12 weeks now - pretty sore (stings) in the thigh but almost painless in the tummy - especially with the added padding I have!! The one time when a bit of middle aged spread is an advantage. I get a slightly itchy red patch for a couple of days afterwards but none of it - even in the thigh, is worse than the RA. don't worry about it - it last only seconds and is over and done with - easier than the pain and stiffness in the morning. Worry not - you'll do fine!!

Hi Lulul - Not had any trouble injecting into my stomach - no pain at all just a slight sting. But in the thigh! Boy did that hurt. So recommend the stomach area changing sides each time. (I have vit B12 injections in my arm and they do hurt.) Good luck. You'll be ok - sometimes it's the anticipation which is worse than the actual injection. I assume you will have a Medipen rather than a syringe. Medipen is very easy to use. Press the button and count to 10 - it then clicks to let you know the drug has gone in. Easy Peasy. LavendarLady x
Using Humira injections two years now and only once did it go wrong and I got a bruise on my tummy. Make sure you take injection out of fridge for half hout to hour before doing it. Count to 20 as the yellow window fills up, and it does'nt hurt at all, slight sting thats gone immed, I find doing it on my own in the bedroom where I can lye down afterwards, for a minute or two helps, although I could jab & go now if I wanted It is scary the first time, you are afraid you will jerk away and waste it, but you won't I got my hubs to do first one, but that was just silly, well able to do it, you cant see needle at all with pen.
Good Luck with rediscovering life!,
Gina.
I have minimum of 7 injections daily for my diabetes and 99 out of 100 dont hurt at all so youll be ok.
