I use felt padding which helps. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar and has any tips or advice.

I've got a swelling on the ball of my left foot and under my right toe. Feels a bit like walking on a golf ball ??
Yes I had this for a while last year but it went away eventually. Ice packs perhaps or just lots of resting up and anti-inflammatories maybe? Tilda x
Ye I agree with Tilda and I got reffered to a Podiatrist who checked if it was RA nodules (not) and he made me some very comfy shoes! Axx
I did have it last year. Tried gel insoles from boots. Felt like waking on stones in shoes. Eventually went when I started on metho. Also had steriod injections.
When it does go you can't remember it being. There. Strange feeling tho.
Good luck
Carole
Cost me a fortune in shoes till I realised it was RA.
I've just had my feet measures for the first time in years and then bought shoes from the same place.ive got for a wedge which is about 2 ms high and the difference is amazing.mine usually feel like a bag of peas instead of a pad under my feet.
I had this too - in my left foot, it was agony. I had to wear thick soled shoes when driving as pushing down the clutch pedal really hurt!
My rheumy referred me to the podiatrists as I've got a problem with my achilles as well but now the pain in the ball of my foot has gone, as quickly as it first appeared. Odd?
