YouTube videos about RA.

Just wanted to "bump up" the 2 videos that EmmaF linked us to in her question about RA statistics etc.

If you have an hour or so to spare they are really interesting.

I now understand the reasons that RA is in decline in general, and learning about the past and how things have improved is inspiring.

Go to YouTube and search for:-

Rheumatoid Arthritis part one, and Rheumatoid Arthritis part 2. They are lectures by UCLA professor Michael H Weisman.

Its a very useful way to pass an hour, waiting for this rain to stop. (We have another flood in our street and it's getting very wearing!)

Thanks Emma

Thanks for the link :-) I've just watched part one and it was really interesting and informative. I'm having a tea break before moving onto part two. I was particularly interested in the discussion about mortality rates and relieved to see that with correct treatment the future is not so bleak. The rain is very heavy outside and this has been a great find while stuck in the house.

Yes they were most interesting and informative. Thank you very much.

Maybe we should be having more cholesterol checks! The mortality rates cheered me up no end but I am going to reduce my drugs when possible. It would have been interesting if he had continued on to the the subject of secondary Sjogrens that I am finding now more debilitating, especially the eyes and loss of voice. I haven't been able to find out much about research on the subject and know that the medical profession can only treat the symptoms at the moment. When you have great success with Etanercept and mtx you get greedy for more!

Aren't we allowed to simply post the actual YouTube links on here, rather then search for them?

Not everyone is experience enough to search for for things and you get different results depending on your computer settings, location, etc.
