This programme is a radio Scotland one that was broadcast yesterday. The last part is about RA in relation why some conditions such as RA alleviate during pregnancy. I found it fascinating and thought some of you might too!
Thanks I will have a listen, hope you well, been keeping up with your blogs Axx

Just listened to the programme. Its very interesting. There has to be a link between immunity, pregnancy and auto-immunity.
I just wish someone would start and do the science and save us all from these guesswork meds!!!
Rant over...
Yes I felt exactly the same way Phoebe - sure mine is all hormone related but when I asked for HRT instead they just said you have no menopausal problems so no as there are risks - what risks would they be compared to MTX and Hydroxy really?! But I guess as they said on the programme it's much more complicated than just supplementing oestrogen and pregesterone - and my gynae told me that oestrogen is a steroid and would have exactly the same effects and side effects re no one thinning as Prednisolone so it's maybe not going to lead to a cure. But very interesting nonetheless.

And natural progesterone/Progestrogen is impossible to replicate in the lab, so it is another risky hormone.
I tried some Progesterone cream once when I was menopausal and it helped my RA too. But Progestrogen tablets gave me horrendous migraines.
