Just to give you an update from the earlier blog that I posted on here, I had an e mail back earlier on last night, and the publisher got back to me, He's publishing my book! I can't beleive it. I just can't. I have a contract, once that is signed, it's systems go. I have included one on RA in the book, and more will follow as my journey with the illness progresses. It was a lifetimes dream to get my work out there and wow, it's happening. Thanks all of you for your support and comments on what I submitted on here a few weeks ago, and for your lovely comments earlier on. I have no confidence in myself as my husband and friends will tell you, and the last few weeks have been so crap, I needed a boost, espeically before I saw the rhumy. I can't sleep for the pain I am in, and because I can switch off from the news I have just gotten. The book comes out as an E book at first, and then later in the year in paperback. Am already on the second one. Writing helps me distract and deal with the feelings of different things I am facing. Thank you for letting me share all this with you. I will let you know how i get on later with the rhumy, thanks too for your comments on that by the way. Take care all of you xx

Well done Jetblack - that really is the boost you need most! Now you can walk into the rheumy apt with your head very high and take a deep breath and use your power with words to good effect! TTx
Like Sylvi says "what's the name of the book?" and also who's going to be the publisher. I will need to wait until it comes out in paperback to read it unfortunately.
Hopefully your success in getting your book published will give confidence to many others to follow their dreams.
Well done, this will definitely help to counter the side effects of any medication you are on, and we need that so much to come back up and live a normal life. Now use this to help highlight the issues we all face and looking at new ways of help in all aspects of our lives in the wider community.
Well done - I don't think I'd read your blog but will go off and find it!
Congratulations and well done!! you must be over the moon. I am taking a writing course with OU as I won vouchers as first prize for a poem I wrote for Arthritis News competition. I have always wanted to write and now being retired I have the time. Your success is another spur for me!! Like you, i have no self confidence and having RA has made it even more so, but I love writing and as you say, it takes your mind off your woes!!!
Thank you so musch for all of your lovely comments, that means a hell of a lot to me, I just want to say that you all had a part to play in it, in that you all inspired some of the stuff I wrote, and I will carry on writing. For all those who are intereteres the name of the book is called The Sunshine After The Rain, and the author Paula Peters. Jetblack is the name of my cat. so guys call me Paula from here on in. The publishing house is chipamunka publishing which is a mental health publishing house, but they cover a lot of illnesses, and the loved the one about RA, i want to raise about this illness for all those who have no understanding of it, and the battle I am having with it, you guys have given me a lot of support on here, I hope I can for all of you. Thinking of you all, saw the rhumy today, hmmmm, all I can say TT is go Private! Will blog later with the outcome of the appointment my head is in a whirl Hugs to you all xxxxx
Well done, Fantastic news, will down load when available. Woop woop for you
Paula, You are living my dream!! So happy for you, I had a poem published several years ago in an anthology of poems. It was "To My Grandaughter" and I wrote it to her for her first christmas, for her mom to save for her. Later, on her 13th birthday, I wrote it in calligraphy and framed it for her. Now she is 22, has a son, my first great-grandson, is about to graduate from College, as a Lab. Tech. She is still, as I envisioned her in my poem, 21 years ago.
Keep those words flowing, all the best of luck! Loretxxx
Thank you again for all your amazing comments, really really appreciated,
I signed the contract yesterday, and it has gone back to the publishers, so see what happens. As the weather here is cold and miserable, have spent some time writing in the last few days, hang in there all of you, would love some ideas so i can put them into wrtitng about RA for the second book so that all your voices are heard and that understnading increases about RA so that people recognise the symptoms and get to the doctors. Happy Easter. Paula x
