I am on mtx, about to beg. inj. also plaquenil, plus bits and bobs, I had a limited success with enbrel and rtx. and funding is just being applied for me to have orencia. It involves me travelling, an hour each way for infusions, but if it works well it will be worth it.
I am about to start Orencia, anyone with experience o... - NRAS
I am about to start Orencia, anyone with experience of it? I would welcome your comments good or bad.
I have had 3 injections of Orencia and have been quite surprised how well it is working!! I was told it may take 2 to 3 months to know if it is working and by the second injection a lot of my pain was gone. I am still on 10 mg prednisone but they will probably start dropping that dosage when I see my rhemy doctor next week. I was quite concerned to go on it as I have COPD (lung issues). Everything seems to be going well now with no side effects.
Wow thats really good news, I was beginning to think I was on my own here. I am so glad that it is working for you, I will keep my fingers and anything else I can cross that it works for me too. So far I have tried enbrel and rtx, but with minimal success. I do not seem to suffer too much from side effects so hopefully I'll be O.K. with this.I have been told though, that I will receive the drug by infusion, three times, two weeks apart, and every month afterwards, not with injections, but as long as it works..... Thanks for replying, Zena.
