good morning all

The blood results from the test I went for after much indecision due to my cold are “sub optimal” shall we say…

Kidney function which is always poor even worse than usual and even creatinine out of range. But I am more concerned that my Alk Phos liver enzyme which has crept up through the normal range since starting Rinvoq has gone up a load and has popped out into the bottom of “out of range”. My AlT was also just above normal but that does happen from time to time.

I find this confusing because even when my liver absolutely hates sulphasalazine and my ALT went into the hundreds my Alk Phos didn’t budge.

As someone who also has ulcerative colitis there is a nasty disease I could get which impacts Alk Phos but as far as I can work out the numbers would be sky high if I had primary sclerosing Cholangitis.

so my question, after this long preamble, is has anyone had their alk phos increase as a result of meds? And if so how high did it get before your rheum team took action/ investigated?

Thank you in advance

Bon x

Blood results do go up and down. It’s good you’re on the case and aware of the slight variation. I wouldn’t sweat the small changes yet until they become an upward or downward trend.

my AST and ALT are elevated. Are continuing to trend up. My rheumatologist seems to be ignoring it but my PCP is looking into it now. I’m on MTX and enbrel
