folic acid tablet

hi I’ve just realised that I took folic acid tablet last night and my methotrexate 25mg injection which shouldn’t do on same night. I completely forgot . Does it make any difference?

Don't worry about it. It might make the Methotrexate slightly less effective but not enough to be a problem. Some people (mostly in America, I think) take it every day anyway.

Thanks for the reassurance. I take it usually everyday except methotrexate day. Wasn’t sure why I missed one day a week! I’m obviously developing brain fog!!

Nope, makes no difference 😋. I swapped out the folic acid for methyl folate as it’s easier absorbed. It’s not on prescription though.

I'm in U. S. and I take folic acid tab everyday. Helps with the queasyness of the Methotrexate

I did the same last week so skipped it next day, as Boxerlady says it's just less effective.

I have been on methotrexate and folic acid for 18 years now and certainly don't always get it right. Agree with everyone, really no problem at all but its reassuring to have the forum confirm it for you.
