Orencia and Leflunamide

Hi. I've been on leflunamide for about 6 and a half years and have fairly recently added in Orencia as the leflunamide wasn't controlling my RA. I wondered if anyone else takes both of these together? Thanks

I've been on orcenia ( six months)and metho , I've found it didn't help me but we are all different . Hopefully works for you

I was on Orencia alone (subcutaneous injections) and it was a ‘wonder’ drug for me. Worked really quickly

Thanks. So glad you've found it works. I am wondering if I will be able to drop the leflunamide now, especially as today for the first time in ages I have managed without pain medication so I feel like the Orencia may be working 🤞

It did for me too. Didn’t think anything would work as well after Rtx. Are you on something else now?

Hello Peagreen. I took 3 other biologics before Orancia. The others made my neutrophils too low, but Orancia works for me. I was put on hydroxy chloroquine 200 mg as well. They've taken me off that now, and so far I'm ok. Had the occasional depamedrone shot when I've had a flare, but all seems to be ok at the moment. I hope you get on well with it, they've had trouble getting the pens, so they are putting us on IV for a while, so a nurse is coming to do it. Good luck with it all. It sure is a game sometimes

Thank you for replying to me. I feel like it's starting to work for me as I've had a day without pain relief meds, first time in ages. I'm hoping I can drop the lef as I seem to be having trouble with high blood pressure now and I know left can be a culprit.
