If your joints still cause problem with personal care or mobility then yes

It’s not what medication that your on that qualifies you. It’s how your impacted on a day to day basis, with your day to day activities, like washing & dressing, feeding, toileting, mobilising etc. Just the same as having certain conditions doesn’t automatically entitle you.

A question with no definite answer as if claiming already then if it works and you’re feeling better or in remission then truthfully you should advise the DWP that you’ve got a change in circumstances. But then the question arises is it going to be forever or temporary and no one can know that. If you’re not claiming and want to then using biologics isn’t the question but how your disease is actively impacting on your life. So the answer is fraught with more questions but basically in remission or able to lead a normal life would mean an end to PIP as you would not need help to stay independent. I hope that helps but remember an effect of any RA medication can change or decrease in effectiveness over time.

Excellent reply and if the mobility is very compromised due to RA causing OA then that’s to consider too. x

PIP is not based on the drugs we take, but on how a disease affects our daily life.

If you look on line you will see the questionnaire you need to complete,

Try the B&W free PIP test to get an understanding of the questions.

You can 100% claim PIP whether on biologics or not, RA is one of the diseases in the category to be able to put a claim in. It's not based on the drugs you take, it's how it affects your daily life, it's a long form to fill out, so get help when applying it x

As above absolutely

Over 74 % of RA applications get accepted

from the site BoneyC mentions and ove 85 % if more than 1 condition

Of course you can! I do, Pip is not dependent on your medication at all or means tested. Good luck
