Tenosynovitis

I have been in pain from the swelling of the pulley and forearm tendons . Had ultrasound to confirm this. I get Infliximab infusions for Crohn’s disease , and it’s helping that issue . I read that Infliximab could mimic Lupus symptoms. The doctor didn’t listen to me and gave me Methotrexate script ..it’s been 3 months and it’s only helped a little. He said “if it doesn’t work , I’ll add a another drug” ..I said “not that drug that affects the eyes, cos I just recovered from uveitis” he just said “no, no that one”. I dont know why I didn’t ask for the name of the drug. Anyway, has anyone taken Methotrexate for Tenosynovitis and it WORKED? And what other drug did they add to it to help? I feel like they just adding drugs to my list.

I have had pretty regular steroid jabs in mine. Helped a lot though it is less bothersome when RA better controlled.

The only thing that worked for me was oral prednisolone, the injection didn’t work at all, I was in agony. I had to keep squeezing my hand as well which was so painful. I still can’t bend one of my fingers no matter how hard I squeeze it but at least the swelling did go down in my hand but still can’t fit my ring on finger.
