Hello everyone, I’m new here. I was diagnosed with RA in October last year after a previous history of PMR. I take hydroxychloroquine and began Amgevita a few weeks ago ( I’ve had 4 injections) . It worked very quickly and I had my movement and mobility back, so really pleased. However, I had read that sinus problems could be an issue. For the last 2 weeks I have had sinus pain and developed a chesty cough. A visit to the GP yesterday resulted in a 5 day course of antibiotics as I have a lower respiratory infection. My antibiotics finish the day before my injection is due so would I be better to wait a week to make sure the infection has gone and then resume my injections? I have emailed my rheumatology nurse helpline but they are not always quick to reply. Even after talking this treatment through at the beginning , I was never clear about what to do if an infection happens. Many thanks for any advice from this novice .

Whenever you can't get a clear answer from the Rheumatology department or can't get through alwayd speak with your chemist as at your local pharmacy mine are amazing with the correct information on my medication hope this helps and you feel better soon x
Great advice. Pharmacists or Sciencus are good people to contact for further information. Hope your infection dissipates. x
