I'm in surgery tomorrow for carpel tunnel and elbow relief (neck later then other side) I'm wondering what effect the surgery will have on the pain from RA? A bit late but hey ho!
ra and hands/wrists: I'm in surgery tomorrow for... - NRAS
ra and hands/wrists
good luck, it could go either way with the RA but let’s hope there’s no ill effect 🤞🏻
Good luck i hope it goes well for you. xxxx
All I can say is that I have had carpal tunnel surgery on right wrist 3 months ago and it has totally relieved the symptoms and is back to normal. Surgery seemed to have no impact on general ra symptoms. My left wrist is getting done in 2 weeks. I hope yours goes as well!
I had a carpal tunnel decompression necessitated by damaged nerves in my neck about a year ago & it seems to have had no effect at all on my RA.
Usually my RA is well controlled after more than 20.years…..so at least you should get relief in the immediate area.
Hope your surgery goes well, I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist some time ago once it healed the total relief was wonderful I can't remember it having any affect on my RA. The surgeon asked if I would like to watch ..........
