I am travelling to Australia in a few months and its the first time that i actually need to take my injection with me. When the nurse showed me how to do the injection she said that i could get a canister to keep my injection cool at the right termperature and charge it in the hotel each night via USB.
I don't want to rely on cool bags using gel pads and fridges as i'm worried that i'm going to leave it somewhere on route as we are travelling round quite a bit.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I've done a fair bit of web surfing but can't find anything

your best bet is to contact your supplier as they will know what is available for the med you are on to be kept at the right temp as they’re not all the same.
I have a medactiv case, which has kept mine at between 2-8 degrees when needed. The longest I’ve used it was 12hrs. You can get them with digital thermometer incorporated. They are pricey, but work better than the Frio cases which are fine for short journeys,
A medigenix bag won't keep it cool long enough. Mine was ok to Hong Kong but not for the onward part to Japan. I looked into the flasks supplied by an American firm called 4All family. I didn't buy as the trip didn't materialise and now I'm waiting for surgery (due to ra). Enjoy your trip.
I’ve just arrived in New Zealand after a total travel time of 60 hours from the time we left our home at 18:30 on Thursday evening to arriving at our son’s in Auckland on Sunday afternoon 17:30 local time - (04:30 Sunday UK time) which meant a total of 58 hours travelling. Emirates told me that it all depended if there was room in the fridge whether or not they could store my medication After a lot of research I used the Disoncare 74 hour Cooler Travel Case (£79 from Amazon) which does not require to be stored in a fridge and when we arrived the temperature inside the flask was 5C and my 4 Benepali injection pens are now in our son’s fridge. I carried a letter from my Rheumatology Department which was very useful when we transited through Brisbane as unfortunately there was a rather aggressive customs person. So spoke to her supervisor and there were no further problems . Also no problems when leaving the UK at Newcastle upon Tyne Airport. I had been concerned about travelling with injection pens as the previous 4 times we have visited New Zealand to see our son I was taking Methotrexate.
Try searching for "battery powered cooler for medications". I found quite a few options. I don't know what size you need so haven't given any links.
Check the full storage conditions for your medication. Some can be safely used for some time after coming out of the fridge. For example my Cimzia can safely be used for 10 days after taking it out of the fridge provided it is kept below 25C. I use a Frio wallet to keep mine cool.
Also if your RA is reasonably it well controlled, it's not the end of the world if you miss a dose. You usually need to miss doses if you have an infection or are getting vaccinated anyway. For example, I missed a dose in January on the advice of my rheumatology team and will miss another in March because I'm getting my shingles vaccine.
I am going to US I bought a Disoncare which doesn't need plugging in and keeps med at said temp for 48 hours and I will be using the fridge when I get there mine cost £33 from Amazon
