Have been struggling with shoulder pain for 4 days and at my wits end !!
Reading about it and it appears to be the acromioclavicular joint in the back of my shoulder this also is causing pain in the side of my neck, none of my pain relief is helping and love tried heat pads and recently bought a shoulder heat bag.
Has anyone else experienced this and got any advice for me 😪

Yes. You need a proper diagnosis from a proper doctor. Shoulders are complex and Dr Google will fit any of your symptoms to something.
Ice would probably be better than heat if this is an acute injury or you can go between heat and cold compresses or wraps. Deep Freeze gel can give a bit of relief in the very short term as can the Ibuprofen/Voltarol gels but a visit to the doc if you can get one - or a physio (privately if affordable) would get you out of pain much more quickly and at least you’d know what it is you’ve got wrong. Best of luck and hope you get some help soon.
I agree that with it being an acute pain, ice would be better than heat, to reduce inflammation. I would see your gp or rheumatologist, as there are so many issues it could be Bursitis at the acromioclavicular joint is a common one, which can settle with steroid injections. Anti-inflammatory gels may help too.
I suffer with recurring shoulder pain and haven't found a permanent solution but sometimes gentle stretching of other muscles can help - eg the back, chest muscles, even the hips. Sometimes everything is so tense that the shoulder gets pulled into the wrong position and then the neck tenses up. But agree you should get checked out as so many things it could be. Good luck
I am having a lot of issues with my neck and shoulders currently. Have had ultrasound but no real clarity as to the cause. I have had to take cocodamol and have to lie down when it strikes. However, am now taking low dose of prednisolone and that seems to stop it happening !
Thankyou everyone for all your support and comments it just helps to hear others have been through the same thing and I have found that luckily it has settled down over the past 2 days with my shoulder/neck heat bag from Amazon.
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy new year, take care and enjoy your good days 🧑🎄☃️💕xx
Directing shower head on shoulder area ,I have it really hot , gives relief for a while , if you try to move it at the same time, little by little.Dr changed me from naproxen to etoricoxib and cocodomol and although sometimes flare ups mean I cannot move my arm , these painkillers work best for me.
Also swim regularly when your shoulder is calmer.Hope this helps.
