New to this so here goes I have been put on leflunomide 20mg I’m have really bad headaches and pains down my left side of my face , I also wake up and see things crawling on the black beams in my bedroom I have only started having this since I started my medication..
Also my teeth hurt …
Has anyone else had any problems ??
Yes some DMards can give you central nervous system symptoms …especially if you are taking steroid too.
Do have a word with your Rheumy nurse or your GP. You don’t need to put up with things like that.

yes! Lasted 4 days. Horrendous headaches. You can stop it and contact rheumy team.
If it were me experiencing those things I’d be straight in contact with my Dr or what ever your system is over there. It’s your body and you don’t have to keep on with a drug that you don’t like.
Yes, it's side affects. It didn't agree with me at all. Horrendous dreams. Call your rheumy nurse she will probably tell you to stop it, mine did. Then they will look at some other meds for you. You can stop Leflunomide straight away no tapering. Hope you find something that agrees with you. X
I agree. It sounds like you need to stop.
Contact yourcra nurse or better still the pa for your consultant, I had a reaction like that to anti malaria drug they use, Sent me gaga they told me to stop immediately.
I has dreadful pain in my hands but no dreams and also ached all over. This was after about 2 weeks I contacted R A team and asked to try for a few more days. I did and then woke up all pain gone like magic and remission for years. So please contact your RA team but it might be a side effect that like mine goes. It was brilliant for me. When it started I could not lift shoulders or cut up food a nightmare but no other med has worked as well since. I can’t take it any longer because of CKD but the LEF did not cause that.
