Slow march to freedom

Missed my bus by one minute this morning. Next one 45 minutes. Missed my swim! Darn it. That's £4.50 down the swannie as I pay in advance. Swimming helps with stiffness and pain greatly. The getting dressed and undressed is a challenge!

No buses? How do you get around? It was my own fault. Forgot it was Sunday service. Managed a swim today.

We're in a village in Cumbria. You have to drive (or be driven). Though fortunately we have a train service so can get to our nearest town on a rattly old diesel train.

The timings seem to bear little resemblance to the published timetable on the website. Fortunately I can still walk into town with my walker (and back) but chose to live here partly because of the bus route...
