Hi

I have noticed recently that I’m cracking and popping when I lay down or move around in bed ?

I know we all crack from time to time but this is causing me concern

Hope someone can help give me an idea what it’s caused by.

thank you 🙂

my neck cracking is due to inflammation, which acts like a glue. Physio gave me exercises to help break it up, which helps

Get some medical advice & ask to be referred to a physio…and as well as neck exercises, ask for advice about pillows….no matter how expensive a pillow you buy, it still needs changing regularly,

I know that sounds blindingly obvious but my physio tells me some people think pillows should last a lifetime!

you need to see a doctor as we can’t tell you what it is or give advice on what to do. I hope it isn’t painful and stops Soon.

Hello Reikimaster, AFAIK it can be caused by a number of factors, including arthritis. If it’s any consolation my neck does the same 🤷‍♂️ i had a neck MRI last week and it the images/report show lots of degenerative changes (erosion, bone spurs, bulging discs, ankylosis) and some active inflammation.
