Hi
I have noticed recently that I’m cracking and popping when I lay down or move around in bed ?
I know we all crack from time to time but this is causing me concern
Hope someone can help give me an idea what it’s caused by.
thank you 🙂

my neck cracking is due to inflammation, which acts like a glue. Physio gave me exercises to help break it up, which helps
Get some medical advice & ask to be referred to a physio…and as well as neck exercises, ask for advice about pillows….no matter how expensive a pillow you buy, it still needs changing regularly,
I know that sounds blindingly obvious but my physio tells me some people think pillows should last a lifetime!
you need to see a doctor as we can’t tell you what it is or give advice on what to do. I hope it isn’t painful and stops Soon.
Hello Reikimaster, AFAIK it can be caused by a number of factors, including arthritis. If it’s any consolation my neck does the same 🤷♂️ i had a neck MRI last week and it the images/report show lots of degenerative changes (erosion, bone spurs, bulging discs, ankylosis) and some active inflammation.
hi I have had a mri on my neck because from oct to now my neck is very limited movement it’s really awful my doctor says it’s cervical spondolosis and some bone 🦴 spurs and muscler skeletal And degeneration too grrr 😡,, was referred to physio been going since October has helped about 5% got to exercise everyday without fail ,, apparently it’s a on going thing physio told me I suggest you go to the doctors to b checked out gd luck 🍀 lv
I know mine is caused by lying down a lot& reading my fone& books, since I’ve been I’ll, I try to do neck exercises every day, google!
