I am trying leflunomide again after a gap of about 9 years and lots of cancer treatment in between. Last time I got pulled off it by an officious CNS because of my spiky blood pressure. So this time I am ready for that but hoping that it will be otherwise side effect free…as before.
i loved it when I was on it and remember it had great effects on my RA so I was very sorry to be taken off it. My rheumy offered me Retuximab but it’s anti TNF so the opposite of the cancer treatment, I would rather stick with this or sulfasalazine if it doesn’t work. Any thoughts? xx

Lucky you, I loved it but because of an AKI it was stopped and it was far better than any other medication.I’ve asked about again it but sadly it’s a no. It put my RA into remisssion for years.x
I had cancer & afterwards I was put on Rtx very successfully…. like a lot of biologic drugs the dose we get for RA is far smaller than that given to cancer patients. I would definitely recommend if you are offered it again - you accept it …..it gives many people back their lives -me included.
Yes I had been on sulfasalazine for years but was a bit surprised when I had to stop earlier this year and there were no adverse symptoms at all! Made me wonder if it had actually been doing anything. cx
