Rheumatology patients’ experiences of support, medical care, and the effects of their diseases on physical and mental health Survey

The University of Cambridge study into quality of life, neurological and mental health systems, and medical relationships from rheumatology patients had a fantastic response rate and they are soon to publish their first paper which we hope will improve care and understanding. We will share some of the results with you very soon. 

HOWEVER, they received very few responses from people from ethnic minorities and men. It's so important that research represents as many different groups as possible and finds out if symptoms, medical relationships and challenges may be different for different genders and ethnicities. 

So PLEASE do complete this survey! It is much shorter than the one available last year and is open to all systemic rheumatic disease patients (e.g. lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, Sjogrens, PMR, UCTD etc).

I took the survey too. It’s straight forward and easy. I recommend all autoimmuers take it. These surveys are very important. Their findings will trickle back to us in the form of better overall care.

I know I’m not doing anymore unless there is some feedback. Or it looks like a survey without any real purpose except to make patients appear to be involved.
