Am I getting better?

I have Inflammatory Polyarthropathy and O A in right knee. I have recently been put on MTX 17.5, 8 weeks ago. 3 weeks ago I had a stiff neck flare and got a steroid shot, 6 day dose pak, and was put on prednisone 5 mg daily to ward off flares. The neck pain resolved quickly. Last week My left wrist flared from minor activity (stretching on a mat) and a few days later did CHAIR yoga at home and got a horrible flare in my right shoulder. Had to cancel a dinner and theater outing. Felt groggy, nauseous, no energy. Next day (today) I feel much better, pain is resolving. In the past, my flares would last for days, weeks. So…. 1) I am wondering if MTX is actually starting to help me and 2) I s the 5 mg Pred doing anything at all? I take nothing for pain. No Tylenol, Nsaids.

It sounds like it! When the steroid shot wears off and you stop the tablets I hope Mtx has started to really make a big positive, noticeable difference. 🙏🏻💗

It certainly could be. You will only know when steroid wears off. I hope you are much improved from now on.
